Birdene

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 27, 2026

This policy explains what Birdene collects when you use it, why, who else handles it, how long we keep it, and what you can do about it. It covers the Birdene apps for iOS and Android, the web version at birdene.com, and links shared from Birdene (including older links on finaz.muba00.com). "We" and "us" mean Birdene and the developer who runs it.

Using Birdene without an account

You can look at exchange rates, real estate prices and public posts without signing in. We then know only what any website or app server sees (see "Logs" below) and the usage analytics described under "Analytics and error reports".

What we collect

Your account

What you post and do

Photos you send in chats have hidden details such as location and camera information removed, by the app and again by our servers. Other photos and videos (in posts, profile and cover photos, and group photos) are kept as your device uploaded them, so if your camera saved a location in a file, it can stay in it.

Chats

Balance, boosts and the Verified badge

If your account has a balance, we keep a record of what was added to it and spent on boosts or the Verified badge. Birdene does not take card payments and stores no card details.

Your device

Analytics and error reports

We use PostHog to understand how Birdene is used and to find bugs. The app sends PostHog which screens you open and what you do (for example publishing a post, sending a message, or searching, including the search text), along with your app version, device model, operating system, language and time zone. PostHog estimates your approximate location (city or country) from your IP address. If you are signed in, these events are linked to your account ID, email address, name and username. Crashes and errors in the app, and errors on our servers while you use it, are reported to PostHog too. We do not record your screen, and there are no advertising SDKs or advertising IDs in Birdene.

Logs

Like any website, our servers record requests: the IP address, time, the address requested and the app or browser details. We use these logs to keep Birdene running and secure, and keep them for a limited time, usually a few days. Opening a Birdene page in a browser also creates a short session record with the same details, which expires after two hours.

Who can see what

How we use it

Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on: providing the service you ask for (your account, posts and chats); our legitimate interests (safety, security, analytics and fixing errors); and your consent where we ask for it (push notifications, microphone and photos). We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who else handles it

Data sent to PostHog and Expo leaves the European Union and is handled in the United States. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect people from harm.

How long we keep it

Your choices and rights

Web version and local storage

The web version keeps your sign-in, settings, a cache of recent chats, and PostHog's analytics IDs in your browser's local storage. It sets no advertising cookies. Google's sign-in button may set Google's own cookies. On phones, the app keeps a cache of your chats and their media on the device, and removes it when you sign out.

Security

Connections to Birdene are encrypted, passwords are stored as hashes, and text and voice messages are stored encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise that your data will never be accessed without permission.

Children

Birdene is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we post the new version here and update the date at the top. For significant changes, we may also tell you in the app.
